I love country, both as a player and a listener. The grooves are deep as a canyon, and the chops are flawless. And I love listening to older pop, rock, and R&B from the 60's and 70's, when the grooves were - to my ears, at least - much more "organic" for lack of a better word.

I also listen to a lot of classical music, much of which has no drums to speak of. But I'm much more a recreational listener than I used to be - I'm not trying to learn every lick on every record I hear anymore - I did that for many years, but now when I put on music, it's to enjoy it more than to learn from it.
